Damn Good Beef Jerky - Hickory

Damn Good Beef Jerky - Hickory

Grade: C-

When someone is bold enough to name their jerky Damn Good, then they better make sure that the jerky lives up to it's name. Well, I'm sad to say that this jerky does not live up to it's name, it should have been called Damn Mediocre. The jerky is of the thick and chewy variety that is found a lot these days. The taste has a somewhat weird taste that is not that great, it's edible and okay but nothing that special. Everytime I ate some of this jerky, I just found the taste kind of offensive. It's hard to describe but it tastes like they mixed so many different flavors together that it all overrides each other and makes the jerky have a weird flavor. Just read the ingredients used in this jerky and you can see that they probably threw everything they found in their kitchen into their jerky seasoning. There's ketchup, tomato paste, corn syrup, vinegar, shallots, and anchovies(!!) among the ingredients. Maybe it's the anchovies that give it the nasty taste. Either way, this is not a jerky I'll be buying again when there's so much great jerky out there to eat.

My wife purchased 2 bags of this Damn Good Beef Jerky for me as a surprise because of the name and I was very disapointed that it wasn't that DAM Good! The salt was so overpowering I could not even finish eating it. I hate throwing away money!!

Don't waste your money!
